I was, a 33 year old single guy, hadn't lived in
a single-family home since graduating from high school,
didn't have a clue about mortgages, didn't know what
a buyer-broker was, but I had just been reassigned
to Fort Detrick and was bound and determined to buy
a house and get out of the apartment scene. I initially
had no idea how to find a good real estate person,
so I did a quick search of the Net and happened to
stumble across Barb Maloney's homepage. Barbara Maloney
is, simply put, the consummate professional (even
when she accidentally drops house keys in hedges
and has to get down on her hands and knees in dress
pants and heels to hunt for them!) Barb walked me
through all aspects of the home buying process and
was ALWAYS looking our for my interests. She exhibited
the experience, maturity, and (importantly) the honesty
that made my home buying experience pleasurable and
successful. Barb is not simply after the quick sale
so she can take her commission to the bank. She will
NOT, unlike other buyer-brokers who are after a quick
sale, recommend a house inspector who will simply
walk through a house and put his stamp of approval
on it after a cursory inspection; rather, she recommends
inspectors known as "deal busters" because
they do THOROUGH inspections so that the homebuyer
knows EXACTLY what he/she is getting. Barbara Maloney
is truly a special person, and what makers her special
is that she really does care for people and it shows.

service and diligence throughout the time we worked

say that we are happy with Barb's efforts would be
a huge understatement. I hope you will show this

its content. We were very specific in what we wanted
in a home, and Barbara was the only agent we contacted
who was able to provide a large enough selection
of homes that met the majority of our wishes in the
price range we were looking for. Even though we could
have gone with a more expensive house, Barb understood
our ultimate goal and rather than trying to get more
commission by getting us into a large house, Barb
stayed exactly within the boundaries we established.
Needless to say, we were very impressed at her willingness
to put our desires ahead of her personal needs. Not
only did Barb find a house within our specifications,
but she was also available to us at any hour to walk
us through every step of the process. This is a sacrifice
not many people make for their customers and we sincerely
thank her for it. Needless to say, we have seen our
share of Real Estate representatives. Barbara Maloney
is, without question, absolutely the best representative
of the Real Estate industry we have ever met. We
have worked with some that are strong in certain
areas such as the initial home search, the negotiation
of the sale, or the closing process. Barb's ability
to handle the smallest details through every step
of the process for us, combined with the patience
and genuine empathy she showed Tammy and mw during
the most difficult and stressful times, place Barbara
Maloney in a class by herself. The ability she demonstrated
proves to us without a doubt that we will call her
next time we move. We will also recommend her without

a wonderful experience I had working with Barbara
Maloney! Pepsi-Cola's relocation department put me
in touch with Barb early in the moving process. From
the first time I met with her, it was apparent that
she had just the qualities I was looking for in a

have been transferred on several occasions and I
would rate Barbara Maloney as one of the best agents
I have ever dealt with. Barbara has the all the traits
to be successful. She listened to what we wanted,
was well planned out and she identified what were
the most important features we were looking for in
a home. Barb was also very knowledgeable about real
estate and the Frederick area from school systems
to home builders. Additionally, we had a unique need
as three of my daughters swim competitively. Barb

| I "heap" praise
on Barbara Maloney. My husband and I have bought
and sold many houses in our years together and have
dealt with numerous real estate agents. None have
compared with the commitment to excellence held by
Barbara. She is the most professional, yet personal,
agent with whom we have ever worked. Our situation
required an agent who was willing to handle every
detail of the sale of our Frederick home. We were
almost 2,000 miles away and had placed out total
trust in her ability to handle all decisions regarding
the sale of our house - all this concern of ours,
yet Barbara was able to sell our house even during,
basically, a "dead" market! She arranged
for the cleaning and painting of the house after
renters moved out. In our absence, she dealt with
everyone connected to the sale of our house as though
it was her own. She kept us abreast of every detail,
sending almost weekly correspondences, which also
included advertising copy, and she never failed to
return our calls. When we did get an offer, it was
one that required a seasoned agent to negotiate,
